12/08/2005: "Just waiting for it..."
I have not heard anything back about my interview yet, but since I know they can take up to a month to get back with you, I could care less. I have people that are asking around to see anyone has heard anything yet and no dice. ![]()
The first snowstorm of the year is coming today and all hell is breaking loose. There are already some schools that are closed and a)it's definitely not snowing right now and b)it's not even that cold out. I think that's ridiculous, but hey, if you're a kid, you'd be loving it. If you're a parent, you are pissed, because not only do you have to deal with the snow that is predicted to fall, but you also have to find some sort of baby sitter or daycare for your kid that is out of school because the school board is paranoid. There have been times when they said it would be terrible and then we see nothing. Like a few weeks ago when there were big storms coming through and everyone said we were going to get a bunch of tornadoes and we got nothing.
Now last year when we got our big snow, I was able to make it into work, though my car was stuck under a foot of snow on the street, but I made it anyway. Maybe 10% of people made it to work last year. Now instead of being praised/rewarded for coming into work on such a dangerous day, I was punished, simply by being at work while 90% of the rest of Louisville's workforce was at home in bed. I run the economy yet I am a retard. This year is a bit different though. I don't live 10 blocks from work anymore, but I also don't park on the street either.
