09/07/2005: "Birthday"
We gave B a "gourmet" bone last night when Zack came over so he wouldn't go crazy. We've been doing that lately and it's been working quite well. He even growled at us when we tried to take it away, so he must have really liked it. When he was finished he ran under the bed, so maybe it was tainted with some sort of drugs and he was all paranoid or something.
My birthday is tomorrow and I'll be 26, which means something like I won't be carded anymore for things, not that I get carded much anyway, but I think they have to card you if you look younger than 26. I thought there was some sort of gun law that said you could buy a rifle at age 18, but you couldn't buy a handgun until age 26, so I guess I should get a revolver tomorrow or something. Actually that would probably be a bad idea, even for protection because what's the point of buying stuff if you can't use it? So I'd be inclined to use it and when do you really get to use a gun, other than if you're hunting (not with a handgun), the military (I'm not signing up to be mistaken for a crusader and killed), or at a firing range, which would still be pointless to buy a gun for. I guess I'll just stick with BB guns. I can shoot those indoors at nothing in particular and not break stuff. I used to have a CO2-powered BB pistol that was really cool. I also had a heavy black metal BB handgun, and a BB rifle with a scope. Did I ever use those "weapons"? Not really, just to shoot boxes and stuff. But I did shoot a raccoon once that was on our deck in Ohio. It was dark out, but I'm sure I hit that sucker straight in the head and it ran off. I have been tempted to tag a bird but I don't wanna kill anything...not yet at least. Mooohooohahaha!
