08/26/2005: "NCAA Football 2006"
![]()
I sucked it up last night and went ahead and bought NCAA Football 06 because the game is brand new and the closing price was just a little over my max, but what the hell, you know. So now I have '05 and '06. Maybe I'll try to sell '05 to EBGames but I think I'll have to play it first. Teams change each year, and I've heard good things about both games so I'll be excited to check them both out.
I have started to realize that I have a bunch of games that I haven't beaten yet. I've beaten GTA:San Andreas, but have not received 100% and don't think I will because I think I stopped in the middle of a tag and you can never go back to finish. I thought I had them all but it says I'm missing 1 or 2. Out of 100 possible tags, I'm not about to go through them all again, so screw it. I have beaten Baldur's Gate
ark Alliace. I've gotten enough through THUG but the one game that really alludes my grasp is Gran Turismo 4. There is no easy way to go about beating that game other than strategy, intelligence, endurance and stamina, the last 2 regarding spare time. I mean, when you have a game that have multiple 24HR long races that can be played at 3X the speed (making the race 8 HRs instead), you really have to...well I don't know. It's just rediculous, but you get a shitload of credits for beating the race...like 400k. I've played an 24hr race once and it definitely took a few days to beat because you have to first of all have the best car. If you don't, what's the point of even trying if you aren't going to win. It's not like you are going to play that race again, hell no. So you just sit there and wait for the car's tires to wear, then pit, then wait again. It definitely allows you to do other things while the race is simming, but you have to check on it like simmering pot of stew every once in a while. I haven't checked the stats lately, but I think I'm 28% through that game. I've beaten all of the Licences except the super license, and am now working on the Endurance races, Special Condition races (the hardest for me), and the European and American races.
